1. Micro-USB

a. Go to GitHub and download the most recent version of 360 Controller (it supports both Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox 360 controllers, don’t worry!).
b. Install the package. It’s worth noting that the installation requires a Mac restart, so make sure your files are saved before installing.
c. Open System Preferences (Apple menu > System Preferences) and select Xbox 360 Controllers – it should be a new icon at the bottom of the list.
d. Plug in your Xbox One S controller, then it will show in the application.

2. Via Bluetooth

Hooking up your Xbox One S Controller to a Mac using Bluetooth is great because it enables you to game without the wire, allowing you to sit back and use the Mac just like you’d use a console.

Follow these steps to connect your Xbox One S controller with a Mac wirelessly.

a. Enable Bluetooth.
b. Put the Xbox One S controller in Discovery Mode by holding down the sync button.
c. The logo will flash quickly, and Xbox Wireless Controller will appear in the Bluetooth window. Then Click Pair.

PS. Xbox One controller does not get a bluetooth model, so it can only connected via USB cable.

Enjoy your games.
